The People's Government of Hunan Province respectively held meetings with the Ministry of Transport (MOT), National Energy Administration (NEA), and China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) in Beijing on June 12 and 13, 2023. At the meetings, participants exchanged ideas on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and President Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions on Hunan Province; consolidating energy and transportation foundation; and, building a modern industrial system.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province; Li Xiaopeng, MOT minister; Zhang Jianhua, member of the CPC Leadership Group of the National Development and Reform Commission and NEA director; and Sun Yongcai, CRRC chairman, attended.

Fu Xuyin, MOT vice minister; Zhang Yingchun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province; and, Qu Hai, secretary general of the People's Government of Hunan Province, were present.

Governor Mao thanked MOT, NEA, and CRRC for their long-term concern and support to Hunan Province. In his remarks, Mao highlighted Hunan's commitment to achieving the goals outlined in the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" blueprint; taking the "Six Battles for Development" as a pragmatic action to implement the requirements of stable growth, employment, and price; continuing to promote the "Three Major Supports and Eight Key Points" work; and, advancing high-quality development to a new level.

From January to May this year, key indicators such as the province's industries above designated size, consumption, import and export, and other major indicators remained within reasonable ranges. Its industrial electricity consumption increased by 6.81%. The economy has stabilized and rebounded significantly.
