On May 27, the Hunan International Business Vocational College carried out a study tour in Shibadong Village, Shuanglong Town, Huayuan County. The participants included 11 members of the first Party branch and the Party branch of the Foreign Aid Training College, and 40 trainees from 14 countries and regions who were attending the training courses in the college. The event was themed "visiting the birthplace of targeted poverty alleviation and witnessing a new chapter of rural revitalization".

Walking along the asphalted mountain road, the group of Party teachers and foreign students were amazed at how Shibadong Village has been transformed from a once impoverished and backward area into a "5A-level" tourist attraction. Such modern amenities as solar street lights, running water, and dustbins for garbage classification, which were previously only found in the city proper, have become standard facilities in the village. The rural banks and post offices have been set up in the villagers' living rooms. The Miao embroidery, silver ornaments, bamboo weaving, and locally-produced goods enable people to feel the strong Miao village flavor.

Shi Jintong, secretary of the Shibadong Village Party branch, gave a wonderful lecture to the delegation. He affectionately recalled the concept of "giving differentiated guidance for targeted poverty alleviation in line with local conditions by seeking truth from facts" proposed by President Xi Jinping for the first time when he came here ten years ago. He shared inspiring stories of how the villagers worked hard to overcome poverty with the help of poverty-alleviation cadres. They achieved this by developing the farming industry, promoting tourism, utilizing livestreaming, and offering agri-entertainment and homestay services. Secretary Shi also answered foreign students' questions about education in mountainous villages, sustainable development of tourism, and supply chain of agricultural products.
