On July 18, the Chinese Giant Panda Garden in the Hunan Yueyang Dongting Lake National-level Tourist Resort welcomed ten cute "new residents". These pandas are currently going through an adaptation period in their new home and are expected to greet the visitors by the end of this year.
The giant panda garden, a key part of the resort, covers 6.5 square kilometers. It consists bamboo forests, woodland areas, and water features, and adopts the state-of-the-art tunnel air precooling and preheating technology.
The giant panda, known for its distinctive black-and-white fur, is one of the most precious animals in the world and is often referred to as a "national treasure" in China. Due to its rarity and endangered status, it receives first-class state protection in China. There are about only 1,864 pandas now living in the wild.
