On the afternoon of July 23, Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met in Changsha with Wendy O'Neill, board chair of the China Medical Board (CMB), and her entourage.
Secretary Shen, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, welcomed the guests. He appreciated CMB's long-term efforts in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the United States and Hunan Province in the fields of medicine and health care. Hunan and CMB shared broad space and great potential for collaboration, he said, hoping CMB to further support young medical talents training in Hunan, promote better integration of clinical medicine and public health, and help Hunan further improve medical and healthcare services.
Ms. O'Neill introduced CMB's endeavor to assist China's medical research and talent cultivation. She noted that CMB has attached importance to the cooperation with China, and is willing to continue to serve as a bridge, deepen the cooperation and exchange with Hunan in the areas of clinical medicine, teaching, and training, and achieve more practical results.
