On August 8, Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, paid a visit to Yiyang's Taoyuan County to inspect the development of county economy. Secretary Shen presided over a meeting and stressed the need to study and implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and firmly grasp the principle that high-quality development is deemed "the first and foremost" task in China's modernization endeavor. Secretary Shen urged the local authority to make efforts to cultivate areas of strength, strengthen areas of weakness, and develop advantages, explore a new way with regional characteristics to promote high-quality development of county economy, and contribute to the realization of "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" blueprint. 

On August 8, Secretary Shen visited a workshop of Hunan Taohuajiang Bamboo Science & Technology Co., Ltd. and learned about the processing, innovation, and market expansion of bamboo products. 

On August 8, Secretary Shen visited the Bamboo Culture Museum at Bamboo Sea Scenic Area in Taojiang County and learned about bamboo product processing and the integration of bamboo and tourism. 

On August 8, Secretary Shen learned about investments by returned entrepreneurs, R&D and innovation, products and supporting facilities, and business environment at Hunan Fullde Electric Co., Ltd. 

On August 8, Secretary Shen checked the production of ductile iron pipe fittings at a workshop and learned about casting process and equipment exports at Taojiang Xinxing Pipe Fittings Co., Ltd. 

On August 8, Secretary Shen learned about innovations in agricultural socialized services, the supply of agricultural materials and machinery, and grain production at Hunan Daduizhang Agriculture Co., Ltd. 

On August 8, Secretary Shen inspected county-level economic development in Taoyao County and chaired a meeting.

At the meeting, Secretary Shen listened to opinions and suggestions on county-level economic development from entrepreneurs and relevant officials from Yiyang City and Taojiang County.
