On August 25, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released the statistics of key monitored tourist areas from January to July on its official website. The data showed that in July, the 416 key monitored tourist areas received a total of 39.8148 million visitor trips, with ticket revenues exceeding 862 million yuan.

According to the data released by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, from January to July, the tourist arrivals in key monitored tourist areas exceeded 221 million, a year-on-year increase of 103.69%, and ticket revenues reached 4.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 124.74%. Among them, 15 national 5A-level scenic spots saw their tourist arrivals increase by 156.68% year on year to 57.3637 million, and the ticket revenues hit 1.448 billion yuan, an increase of 219.02%.

Other data revealed encouraging trends in inbound and outbound reception of travel agencies in Hunan. As a growing number of countries and regions have resumed outbound group tours, inbound and outbound tourism has entered a period of readjustment and recovery. From January to July, 108 travel agencies received 53,700 inbound visits, a staggering increase of 6,689%, and organized 72,600 outbound tourist trips, a growth of 4,647.68%.

Another set of data indicated that from January to July this year, a total of 188 museums, libraries, and cultural centers in the province organized 29,172 activities and provided services for more than 58 million visitors, a year-on-year increase of 79.37%. Among them, cultural centers showed the strongest performance. They organized 16,984 activities and offered services for more than 19 million visitors, a growth of 185.86%.
