The 2023 World Computing Conference opens in Changsha on September 15. On the afternoon of September 14, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with domestic and foreign guest representatives attending the meeting. The guests included Prince Fahad bin Mansour Al-Saud, chairman of Saudi Arabia's Entrepreneurship Vision, and Zhao Zhiguo, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Provincial leaders Wu Guiying and Qin Guowen; academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Yao Qizhi and Xue Qikun; academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Tan Jianrong; and, provincial government secretary general Qu Hai, attended.

Prince Fahad, MIIT Chief Engineer Zhao Zhiguo, and other guests believed that Hunan's computing industry has solid foundation, strong momentum, great potential, and promising future for development. They would give full play to their respective comparative advantages, and strengthen cooperation with Hunan in terms of increasing policy and financial support, joint scientific research and development, and industrial project layout, to boost Hunan's computing industry to a higher level.
