A press conference on the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference was held in Changsha on August 31. It announced that the conference will take place in Chenzhou between September 15 and 17.

The theme of the conference is "Welcome to Charming Hunan, Meet in Chenzhou". In order to fully showcase the results of this event, "3+4" activities are scheduled to be held, which consist of three main events and four supporting activities.

The three main events include a cultural tourism projects observation, an evening gala of the opening ceremony and promotion conference, and a conference on promoting the development of tourism industry.

The evening gala of the opening ceremony will be held at Feitian Mountain Live-action Theater in Suxian District, Chenzhou on September 16. It will highlight sustainable water resources utilization and green development and bring a national-class feast with Chenzhou characteristics and Hunan charm to the audience.

The cultural tourism projects observation will be a centralized field study tour to 30 newly-built or upgraded key cultural tourism projects.

The International Forum on Sustainable Utilization and Green Development of Water Resources will bring together representatives of the United Nation and international organizations, leaders of relevant ministries and commissions, Hunan provincial leaders and government departments heads, and Chinese and foreign experts, to discuss about sustainable utilization of water resources.

The Hunan Culture and Tourism Industry Expo and the Investment and Financing Conference will focus on new cultural tourism, new technologies, and new consumption. It will include various sub-events including internet celebrities from Hunan, Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao visiting Hunan and travel routes and products promotion and purchasing meeting.

The second Hunan Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo will display more than 140 locally distinctive and deeply rooted intangible cultural heritage items in a situational and immersive manner.

The 2023 China Culinary Tourism Report Release Conference will unveil the "Top Ten Cities, Streets, and Enterprises for Chinese Culinary Tourism". This will include theme speeches, strategic dialogues, and other activities, aiming to promote the exchange and development of Hunan cuisine culture, and to advance the in-depth integration of "cuisine + tourism".
