Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met in Changsha with Yin Hejun, vice president and deputy secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and his party on April 18, 2023.

Secretary Shen, on behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, welcomed Mr. Yin and his party and thanked CAS for its long-term assistance to Hunan Province. He noted that Hunan and CAS share a long history of exchanges and cooperation with fruitful results. Hunan will fully support the development of CAS and its affiliated units in Hunan, he said, hoping that CAS will extend its scientific research layout in Hunan and further deepen and implement cooperation between Hunan provincial government and the academy to achieve greater results.

Vice President Yin expressed gratitude towards Hunan for its concern and support for the platforms, projects, and researchers of CAS in Hunan Province. CAS will deepen communication and cooperation with Hunan and, as always, support the innovation and development of the research institutes in Hunan, so as to help boost Hunan's high-quality economic and social development.
