Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, inspected the economic and social development of Huaihua City on May 17, 2023. He stressed the need to seize strategic opportunities; give full play to comparative advantages; promote the integrated development of port, industry, and city; vigorously develop characteristic industries; comprehensively advance rural revitalization; and, make Huaihua's contributions to realizing the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy.

Provincial leaders Xie Weijiang and Li Jianzhong joined the inspection.

On May 17, Secretary Shen came to the Huaihua International Land Port to learn about its planning and construction, modern logistics, freight-train trips operation, and commodity inspection. The port has become a strategic platform to connect with RCEP and ASEAN countries since the start of construction in 2021. It has opened three international logistics channels and operated 113 train trips in the first quarter of this year.

On May 17, Secretary Shen visited the human resources service center on campus at Huaihua Vocational & Technical College. He chatted with students who were submitting their resumes and negotiating face-to-face with employers.

On May 17, Secretary Shen learned about storage operation, item distribution, and safety production at the Jiahui Agricultural Products (Cold Chain) Logistics Industrial Park.

On May 17, Secretary Shen inspected product process, technological innovation, and market supply and demand at the Hunan Xinghuai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.

On May 17, Secretary Shen learned about the growth, planting, processing, and sales of spine grape at the South China Grape Valley, Tongmu Town, Zhongfang County.
