Secretary Shen, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province, warmly welcomed Lv Yansong and his delegation and thanked Xinhua News Agency for its long-term strong support to Hunan. He remarked that Xinhua News Agency Hunan Branch has systematically and comprehensively reported Hunan news and stories. The branch has played the role of a think tank in providing consultations and suggestions on political affairs. He expected to strengthen partnership with Xinhua News Agency and expand new collaboration areas. Both sides may explore cooperation in deepening economic and trade exchanges with Africa, to jointly serve the major national strategies, he added.

Deputy Secretary Lv thanked Hunan for its consistent support to Xinhua News Agency, especially the work of Hunan Branch. He said Xinhua News Agency will fulfill its duties as the spokesperson, eyes, and think tank of the CPC Central Committee, publicizing Hunan's vivid practice of studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and carrying forward the decisions and arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee. He promised to support Hunan in deepening its economic and trade exchanges with African countries, and create a sound atmosphere of public opinion for the high-quality development of Hunan.
