The Hunan delegation at the second session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) held its fifth plenary meeting in Beijing on the morning of March 10, 2024. The deputies deliberated the work reports of the NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People's Court (SPC), and the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).

Shen Xiaoming, head of the Hunan delegation, presided over the meeting and made a speech.

Liu Junchen, deputy secretary general of the NPC Standing Committee and deputy secretary of its CPC Organizational Leadership Group, attended the deliberation.

Mao Weiming, Li Dianxun, Wang Shuangquan, and Wu Lan, deputy heads of the Hunan delegation, and other deputies such as Du Jiahao, Xu Dazhe, Hu Xusheng, Yang Weigang, Jiang Difei, Zhou Haibing, Zhu Yu, Ye Xiaoying, Li Jiancheng, and Liu Lianyu, joined the meeting.

Yang Linping, a member of the CPC Leadership Group and vice president of the SPC, and relevant comrades from the NPC Standing Committee, the SPC, and the SPP were present.

During the deliberation, Luo Yijun, Zhou Zhenyu, Kan Baoyong, Chen Yongbiao, Jiang Fan, Xiao Beigeng, Shan Xiaoming, Liu Yixin, Wang Zhen, Tian Jiqun, Wang Ya, Zhou Chao, Yin Cuiping, Long Rong, and other deputies put forward opinions and suggestions on water treatment and management in accordance with the law, promoting the building of a law-based government, advancing the modernization of adjudicatory and procuratorial work, strengthening deputies' performance of duties, improving the governance capacity at the primary level, and safeguarding social fairness and justice.
