An exhibition of oil paintings depicting Baojing and Dong'an Counties' spring scenery opened at Hunan Library on May 22 and will run until June 1. Baojing and Dong'an are two thousand-year-old counties in Hunan Province.

The exhibition was co-organized by the Hunan Contemporary Oil Painting Academy, Art Research Institute of Hunan Province, and Hunan Library. It features 61 fine landscape oil paintings created in Baojing and Dong'an by 22 famous Hunan-born oil painters including Chen Xiaosheng, Cai Guosheng, Guo Xiangsheng, and Gao Shan. These paintings fully showcase the beauty and richness of Hunan and the spring scenery of Baojing and Dong'an. Through the paintings, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the natural scenery of the northwest and southwest ends of Hunan, feel local folk customs and historical heritage, and appreciate the harmonious coexistence between natural beauty and culture and history.
