China's Culture and Tourism Ministry has recently published a new batch of 22 proposed national tourist resorts, with Changsha Tongguan Kiln Cultural Tourism Resort in Hunan Province included.

Tongguan Kiln Cultural Tourism Resort is located in the Tongguan Neighborhood, Wangcheng District, Changsha City. Situated by the Xiangjiang River, it is surrounded by green mountains and clear water. With a total investment of 20 billion yuan, the tourist resort encompasses Tongguan Kiln National Archaeological Site Park, Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town China-chic Paradise,Tongguan Ancient Street, Tongguan Kiln Modern Agricultural Park, and Tongguan Kiln No. 5 Valley Homestay.

Relying on the Tongguan Kiln National Archaeological Site Park, the tourist resort takes Tang colored pottery culture as the theme and presents the image of "Happy Changsha, Enchanting Tongguan". It offers a diverse range of nearly 300 tourist products of 13 categories such as accommodation, catering, shopping, culture, night tour, performance, study tours on science popularization, sightseeing, exhibitions, festivals, family events, amusement, sports, and health preservation. The culture-themed tourist resort integrates cultural experience, leisure, study tour, amusement, and sightseeing.

In recent years, Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town China-chic Paradise has gained an increase in popularity. It has consistently ranked among the top 10 destinations on various online travel platforms during holidays. The scenic area received over 82,000 tourist visits during the May-day holiday this year. The number of tourist arrivals hit a record high to 27,235 on the first day of the holiday.
Tongguan Kiln Cultural Tourism Resort will be Hunan's fourth national tourist resort, following the previous three resorts—Huitang Hotsprings, Changde's Liuye Lake, and Yueyang's Dongting Lake.
