Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, visited the 25th Central China (Hunan) Agricultural Expo (CCHAE) at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of November 17, 2024. He asked to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and and President Xi Jinping's important exposition on the work related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. He called for advancing the hosting of market-oriented exhibitions, further improving organizational and service standards, and better serving the modernization of agricultural industry.

The CCHAE exhibition halls were bustling with crowds around 9:00 a.m., presenting a dazzling array of agricultural products. There are six exhibition halls at this year's expo, attracting 15 countries such as Malaysia, Russia, Brazil, and 22 domestic provinces to attend. Secretary Shen inspected the exhibition halls, which showcased inter-provincial exchanges, international exchanges and internet-famous products, distinctive delicacies, cold-chain fruits and vegetables, agricultural brands, and various industries. He talked with the persons in charge of the exhibitors, and learned about the exhibition and sales situation in detail.

He emphasized that efforts should be made to:

- Give full play to the window role of the CCHAE, to support more Hunan agricultural products in "going global", and introduce more "famous, characteristic, high-quality, and new" agricultural products, enabling the public to better enjoy the fruits of modern agricultural development;

- Follow the principle of hosting market-oriented exhibitions, enhance the market-oriented exhibition organization capacity, rely more on the service quality and agglomeration effect to attract businessmen to participate in the exhibition, and better serve the modernization of the agricultural industry; and,

- Strictly supervise the market, strengthen the construction of integrity system, crack down on counterfeit and shoddy behavior according to the law, ensure food safety and authenticity, and effectively safeguard the good image of the exhibition and the legitimate rights and interests of exhibitors and consumers.
