On December 13, the 11th National Public Ice and Snow Season - Changsha Station, aiming at engaging millions of Hunan people in ice and snow activities, was held at TheRink Changsha IFC ice rink.

The event consisted of a kick-off ceremony, ice dance performances by Chinese and Russian professional skaters, youth ice exercises, ice hockey displays, and other ice performances and competitions such as speed skating competitions, ice fun games, and ice carnivals. It attracted sports enthusiasts from 12 primary and middle schools in Changsha, bringing them together to enjoy the charms of snow and ice sports, and igniting a wave of public participation in snow and ice sports.

Previously, the 11th National Public Ice and Snow Season - promotion and popularization of ice and snow sports in schools were carried out at 11 schools in Changsha, namely the Changsha Experimental Primary School, Lushan International Experimental Primary School, Lushan International No. 2 Experimental Primary School, Qingya Lifa School, Changjun Tianxin Experimental School, Mapoling Primary School, Changtangli Chongde Primary School, Wanglong Primary School, Tanzhou Experimental Primary School, Nanya Xiangjiang Middle School, and Chengnan Academy of Changsha First High School. The event was also a grand ice and snow sports celebration for Hunan youths.

The event was sponsored by the General Administration of Sport of China, hosted by the Hunan Provincial Administration of Sport, organized by the Changsha Sports Bureau, jointly undertaken by the Changsha National Fitness Management and Guidance Center, and jointly operated by the Changsha Ice and Snow Sports Association and the Hunan Dazhong Sports and Culture Development Co., Ltd.
