On April 24, Miluo dragon boat master craftsman Xu Guisheng, also an inheritor of Xu's family dragon boat craftsmanship, explained key techniques for making a dragon head for a dragon boat. Born into a family of making dragon boats, Xu began learning carpentry from his father at age 15, built his first dragon boat at 20, and has now dedicated over four decades to the handicraft. Inspired by his expertise, many former apprentices and workers have ventured out on their own, establishing dragon boat manufacturing factories. Through generations of artisanal heritage and craftsmanship innovation, Miluo's time-honored dragon boats continue to thrive with renewed vitality and energy.
