On January 1, the "Dialogue between the Youth and the Starry Sky" exhibition at the Tiangong Palace was displayed on the first day of the New Year in China's space station. The space painting "The Martian to Earth" created by Long Xinyu, a child from the Shibadong Village, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, was displayed in China's “Heavenly Palace”.
"Look, the Martians came to visit theShibadong Villagein Hunan Province! It used to be a poverty-stricken area, but now, thanks to targeted poverty alleviation, people here have been able to live a well-off life." In the broadcasting room, Shenzhou 13 astronaut crew in the "New Year's Day dialogue between Beijing, Hong Kong, Macao and Tiangong"program, gave a live display and brief introduction to the works.
In the Shibadong Village, Long Xinyu and her family were sitting in front of the TV, and watching carefully. "I didn't think my paintings would be sent into the space." Long Xinyu was thrilled to see her paintings appear on TV. Long Xinyu's mother, Longhui, was also happy to see her daughter's paintings go into the space.
Eleven-year-old Long Xinyu studies in Shuanglong Town Paibi schooland she loves reading and painting. Long Xinyu said that by painting “the Martian to Earth”, she hoped that the astronauts could see the beauty of their hometown. Shi Zhuojun, a classmate of Long Xinyu's from Yanluo village, which is next to Shibadong Village,painted "The Earth Welcomes You", which was also put on display in the Chinese space station.
The Shibadong Village actively explores the precise poverty alleviation experience that can set a good example. Now the Village has witnesse dearth-shaking changes. In June 2021, the Shibadongand Aizhai Village with Dehang Grand Canyon Scenic Spot was successfully granded the title of national 5A scenic spot. Meanwhile, its Miao Embroider, cured meat, kiwi fruit, honey and other local products are well received by the market.
The "Dialogue between Youth and Starry Sky" exhibition is the first Tiangong exhibition held in China's space station. More than 20 space-themed paintings created by teenagers in central and western China are on display in China's "Tiangong" exhibition. Subsequent activies such as "The Youth Dialogue with the Stars" series will be held routinely throughout the building and operation of the space station to give full play to the manned space engineering. These activities are sure to promote patriotism, boost morale, strengthen the national confidence among teenagers and encourage them to look up at the starry sky with a flying dream.
