8月10日，湘西边城机场取得运输机场使用许可证，标志着机场已符合民航局规章标准，满足运营要求，将于8月18日正式通航，首期飞往北京、广州。

On 10th August, Xiangxi Biancheng Airport obtained the license of transport airport operation, marking that it has met CAA’s rules and standards, and the operation requirements. It is expected to commence operation on 18th August, and take its first flights of Beijing and Guangzhou.

湘西边城机场位于花垣县境内，2018年8月全面开工。机场占地235公顷，总投资28.48亿元，航站楼面积1.1万平方米，飞行区跑道长2600米、宽45米、停机位5个，可起降波音738和空客A321等机型，设计目标年均旅客吞吐量30万人次、货邮吞吐量450吨。

Xiangxi Biancheng Airport is located in Huayuan County. The construction works on the airport, with total investment of 2.848 billion, commenced in August,2018. With the coverage of 235 hectares, the airport includes an 11,000sqm terminal building, a 2600m x 45m runway, five parking bays and various types of airplanes including B728 and A321. The airport is targeting 300,000 passengers and 450 tonnes of cargo p/a annually.

目前，机场各项场内外建设已基本完工，机场126名工作人员已在各自岗位就位。

Nowadays, Xiangxi Airport’s on-site and off-site construction have been completed, and 126 airport staff have been in place.
