The sixth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival will take place on September 23. The main venue events of Hunan Province will be held in Guiyang County, Chenzhou City.

The theme of Hunan events this year is "celebrating bumper harvest and promoting beauty and harmony". During the festival, four main venue events, three sub-venue events, and six provincial-level activities will be arranged based on the principle of taking farmers as leading roles, agriculture as the main line, and rural areas as the main venues.

The four main venue events include:

--the launching ceremony and art performances;

--a trade fair of Chenzhou's famous quality agricultural products;

--agritourism tours; and,

--a culinary experience of local dishes.

At the sub-venues in Wugang City, Hongjiang City, and Hengyang's Zhengxiang District, a series of activities will be held to tap into local features, including art performances celebrating harvest, a fun sports games, a photo exhibition on harvest, special agricultural products exhibition and on-site signing ceremony, high-quality farm products promotion via livestreaming, farming culture experience, and rural cultural tourism promotion. 

The six provincial-level activities include:

--the selection and commendation of Hunan's Top 10 Farmers in 2023;

--a healthy run themed "a beautiful and harmonious countryside";

--diversified performances on updating outdated social mores;

--the 5th Hunan Farming Competition;

--the 2023 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival events of Hunan Provincial Supply and Marketing Cooperatives; and,

--the 2nd Innovation Hunan at Grassroots (Academicians and Experts' Tours in Hunan).

These events aim to demonstrate farmers' demeanor in the new era and boost rural revitalization.
