The third Changsha Tourism Development Conference opened in Tianxin District, Changsha City on the evening of September 25. Wu Guiying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee attended and announced the opening of the conference. Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province and mayor of Changsha City, delivered a speech.

Also in attendance were heads of relevant provincial departments; municipal leaders; persons in charge of financial investment institutions, cultural and tourism enterprises, and the China Media Group Art Program Center; representatives of cities and prefecture in the province and the regions they support through pairing-up assistance; persons in charge of cultural tourism departments of some tourist cities; representatives of business associations and travel agents; and, specially invited representatives from all walks of life.
